Common Mistakes in kitchen

Here are some common mistakes in kitchen that you should NEVER do:

1. Never put good Knives in the dishwasher: you may be ruining them, wash knives by hand.

2. Never use the wrong knife.

3. Never try and catch a falling knife.

4. Never start cooking before reading the entire recipe.

5. Never work in a kitchen with a messy workspace.

6. Never remove the food you just chopped from a cutting board with a knife blade down: use the blunt side for that.

7. Never cook any meat straight from the fridge: it will be undercooked or raw at the centre and overcooked on the outside.

8. Never  put a hot dish on a cold surface.

9. Never serve anything before you taste it.

10. Never smash burgers to make them cook quicker: you’re just pushing the juices out.

11. Never forget seasoning your food as you cook: you'll have a dish that is unbalanced and tasteless.

12. Never overcrowd the pan: it slows down the cooking process. Separate your cooking into batches.

13. Never thaw meat at room temperature because you're risking your safety in the process: do it slowly in the fridge.

Goodbye and until next post!
