Practical ways to lose weight


Losing weight is a long journey. All of these are small changes but can lead to big results:


1. Drink a glass of water about 30 minutes before each meal: helps to keep you satiated and prevent overeating.

2. Don’t buy  prepared food. Make good food choices and eat more  fruits and vegetables.

3. We tend to eat what is in front of us: studies say "order the smallest portion of everything". 

4. Spend 10 minutes a day walking up and down stairs.

5. Exercise a minimum of 30 to 60 minutes total each day.

6. Eat five times a day: three meals and two snacks. If you eat every two or three hours you don't overeat because you don't feel famished.

7. Watch less TV and go for a walk instead.

8. Getting enough sleep will help you lose weight.
